About This Spot

Walking into Sakégura Restaurant, you’re greeted by a warm and intimate space where the art of Japanese dining feels both approachable and special. The subtle hum of conversation blends with the rhythmic sizzle from the hibachi grills, creating an inviting pace that’s lively without ever feeling rushed. This is a place where shared moments happen naturally—whether you’re seated at the sushi bar watching delicate rolls come together or gathered around the hibachi grill where chefs skillfully engage with each group in their circle.

The atmosphere strikes a thoughtful balance between cozy and vibrant. The rustic tones and simple décor invite you to settle in, while the open hibachi stations foster a sense of connection, making each meal feel like a small celebration with friends or family. It’s these human moments—the laughter sparked by a chef’s playful flair, the warmth of freshly brewed jasmine or honey-ginger tea, the satisfying comfort of dishes that marry tradition with care—that subtly shape the experience.

Sakégura is not just about the food; it’s about how each bite fits into a larger story. The freshness of the sushi, the spirited flavors in the house salad’s ginger dressing, and the tactile joy of tempura all play their part in creating a gathering rooted in genuine taste and relaxed companionship. Whether it’s a quiet lunch or a lively dinner, the restaurant’s thoughtful approach turns a simple meal into a quietly memorable occasion.

I must say my food and experience was great! I have the steak and lobster hibachi in which both was cooked perfectly. The tea tasted great and the chef was very engaged with us. Small hibachi area and when sitting with other families feels like they are in your circle. But overall good experience

On a Friday at lunch, it was just busy enough that the hibachi grill filled up with two other couples quickly, allowing us to be seated promptly. The Sushi was fresh and masterfully prepared. The pot of lemon ginger tea was well-spiced and flavorful. The salad with the house-special ginger puree was adequate, and the Hibachi Chicken and vegetables were well prepared and consistent with what you would expect. Sakegura food delivers on consistency. There is nothing too special about their dishes, but you feel that you received the food experience you were seeking.

First time trying this place, and we sure are glad we did! It was fantastic! It had several options for dining with a few booths and tables. If you wanted to sit privately, sushi bar that you could sit at, plus 4 hibachi blacktops. UT our chef was awesome! He was funny. He kept us laughing. And he's a master at cooking seafood. The salad and the miso soup were also fantastic. Our server kept our drinks filled, and we just had a good time. Can't wait to go back in the very near future!

We came during a late lunch and both got Bento boxes and calamari. The food was delishous. The salad is simple and fresh with the homemade ginger dressing as the star of it. We both loved the calamari. They were big rings with a great flavor and texture. The house fried rice was unlike anywhere else, with bacon, eggs, and ground beef mixed in. Really good. Everything in the bento box was really good. I gave 4 stars on service and atmosphere because, although the food was quick they seemed preoccupied and never asked if we needed anything.

I have been coming to this restaraunt since 2002. I used to beg my mom to bring me here as a kid. This restaraunt ruined every other hibachi restaraunts for me, no others taste as good. Now I live over an hour away and I still make plans near snellville just so I can have an excuse to eat here regularly.

Been a few years since I have had hibachi grille. This place has great selection and was not overcrowded. Everything tasted fresh and sushi was on point.
